The First Navigation Tavern team was set up in 2001 by Steven O’Donnell, Steve Jackson and David Smith and they entered the Heavy Woollen League. Under the management of firstly Chris Whitley and then Grant Illingworth the team climbed from Division 5 to Division 1 league and promotion to the Premier Division in 2008. Unfortunately the team folded in 2012.

The Navi FC relaunched after the turn of the first lockdown, built from the hard work of club admin Lewis Boddy and club manager Simon Moore. The team have lofty ambitions wanting to match and even exceed the success of The Navigation FC of before.
